Michelle Bacellar is a specialist façade consultant with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked on projects across Brazil, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

Her career began as an architect in Brazil, where she worked on residential and retail developments. In 2001, Michelle relocated to Australia and completed a Master’s degree in Structural and Construction Engineering, marking a transition into structural engineering roles across Australia, the UK, and the UAE.

In 2008, Michelle moved into the façade industry, where she combines her architectural background with engineering expertise to deliver technically robust and design-led façade solutions. From 2011 to 2018, she gained extensive hands-on experience in façade design, procurement, fabrication, and installation while working as Technical Department Director for a Dubai-based façade contractor.

Throughout her career, Michelle has delivered a wide range of project scopes, including façade design for proprietary systems, façade geometry studies and modulation optimisation, construction supervision, peer reviews, and façade forensic inspections. She has contributed to numerous major projects across diverse sectors.

As the founder of BdesigN, her independent façade consulting practice, Michelle brings together deep technical knowledge, construction experience, and a collaborative approach to deliver tailored façade consulting services for architects, developers, and contractors.
